Bernard most recently served as CEO of J+E Davy, Ireland’s largest independent stockbroking and wealth management business, and led the subsequent sale of the business and its integration into the Bank of Ireland Group plc. Prior to this, Bernard served as CEO of AIB Group plc leading the successful rationalisation and IPO of the bank. Before joining AIB Group, Bernard was Group Finance and Commercial Director at ESB, Deputy CEO and Finance Director of IWP International plc and Commercial Director of ESB International. Bernard is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with PwC, and also a Certified Bank Director.

Michael Stanley

Michael Stanley co-founded Cairn Homes plc and was appointed CEO prior to the IPO in June 2015. Michael has a strong pedigree in residential development and the broader property industry. He was previously CEO of Stanley Holdings, a large Irish homebuilder and real estate investment company. Michael also has extensive experience in the packaging, energy, agritech and healthcare sectors.

Richard was previously Partner in Urbeo Residential, one of Ireland’s leading residential property businesses. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer at Hibernia REIT plc, an Irish real estate company, for a period of five years from its IPO. Linda Hickey

Linda Hickey

Non-Executive Director

Linda Hickey is a highly experienced nonexecutive director. She was previously Head of Corporate Broking at Goodbody Stockbrokers, where she worked for 15 years, and where she advised clients on a range of capital markets and corporate governance matters. Prior to this, Linda worked at both NCB Stockbrokers in Dublin and Merrill Lynch in New York. Linda also has a degree in Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Linda was also formerly Chair of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service.

Orla O’Gorman

Orla O’Gorman spent seven years at the Irish Stock Exchange (“ISE”), where she was Head of Equity. She was centrally involved in the sale of the ISE to Euronext in 2018 and, following that transaction, was appointed as Head of Listing for UK and Ireland. Prior to joining the ISE, Orla founded OR Associates, and previously held senior management positions at Eurologic Systems, ABN AMRO and PwC. Orla is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and a Master of Accounting from UCD Smurfit School.

Julie Sinnamon

Julie Sinnamon brings deep experience in assisting Irish businesses to grow and scale having had a highly successful career at Enterprise Ireland where she held a number of senior roles including the position of CEO from 2013 until her retirement in 2021. Julie is a business graduate of the University of Ulster, holds a Master’s in International Business from Fordham University, USA and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Programme, USA.

Chair of European Movement Ireland and APC Ltd, Director of PwC Ireland Public Interest Body, Insurance Ireland, The Agricultural Trust and The Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. Julie is also Chair of the Implementation Oversight Group for the Commission on the Defence Forces and a member of the External Oversight Body of the Defence Forces.

Orla is the former Chair of Arthur Cox LLP, one of Ireland’s leading law firms, and a Financial Services Partner. She was appointed as Chair of Arthur Cox in 2019 for a term running until 2025 and previously served on the firm’s Management Committee for five years. Orla has over 25 years’ experience in financing and restructuring transactions across the financial services, property, and private equity sectors. Orla has an LLB degree from Trinity College and a BCL degree from Oxford University.

Giles Davies

Giles Davies qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London and spent five years in management consultancy in London and New York. He went on to establish Conservation Capital, a leading international practice in the emerging field of conservation enterprise, ESG and related investment financing. He previously served as Non-Executive Chairman of Wilderness Scotland and Capital Management & Investment plc, and as a non-executive director of Algeco Scotsman Group.

Michael is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cairn Homes plc, appointed ahead of the company’s IPO in June 2015. With over two decades of experience in residential development, Michael has also held leadership roles across the packaging, energy, agritech, and healthcare sectors. Under his leadership, Cairn has become a leading Irish business, delivering thousands of homes nationwide. Michael is also a board member of IBEC.

As Chief Financial Officer, Richard is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and financial reporting of Cairn, working closely with the CEO to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Richard was previously Partner in Urbeo Residential, one of Ireland’s leading residential property businesses. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer at Hibernia REIT plc. Richard also held several corporate finance roles at various organisations including at commercial property company, Clancourt Group. Richard is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, holds a Master of Accountancy from University College Dublin and a B.Sc. (Business Management) from Trinity College Dublin.

Maura Winston

Chief People Officer

Maura joined Cairn in 2019, and as Chief People Officer is is responsible for leading the People function, organisational development, change management, employer brand, and working closely with the CEO and the leadership team in driving the strategic direction of the business. With a master’s in Social and Organisational Psychology from UCD, she began her career at Accenture before holding senior roles in Australia, including Director of People and Culture at the Federal Courts. Maura is a Non-Executive Director on the Bon Secours Board.

As Chief Operating Officer, Gavin is responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and operational support of the Cairn delivery platform, with a focus on scaling the business, refining Cairn’s product, and driving innovation and productivity. Gavin is responsible for leveraging all aspects of Cairn’s operating model, aligned with its growth agenda. Before joining Cairn, Gavin was Managing Director of Bailey Brothers Construction Management Services and held senior roles on major projects with leading UK contractors.

Fergus McMahon

Director of Commercial & Procurement

Fergus has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry and has been with Cairn since early 2016. He leads key functions including Town Planning, Cost Planning, Procurement, and Commercial PMO. Fergus has played a central role in shaping Cairn’s procurement strategy and enhancing supply chain performance. Previously, Fergus worked as a Commercial Manager at Nucleus VP Group and held various roles at McInerney Middle East Projects and McInerney Homes Ltd. A Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, he is also a board member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

As Chief Investment Officer, Ger is responsible for driving sustainable growth for the business with a key focus on meeting the demands of our customers and markets while expanding our product offering. He also oversees sales across private, state and institutional customers as well as asset management and acquisition. Ger was previously Group Pre-Construction Manager and Student Accommodation portfolio Delivery Lead. Ger holds an Honours Degree in Construction Management from Waterford Institute of Technology.

Tara is responsible for the risk management, data protection and corporate governance workstreams within the business. As Head of Sustainability, she also oversees ESG reporting and strategy across the business. She was previously Deputy Company Secretary & Head of Group Integration at UDG Healthcare plc. A member of the Chartered Governance Institute, Tara has an LLB from Queens University Belfast and an MSc in Management and Corporate Governance from the University of Ulster.

Declan Murray

Head of Finance & Treasury

As Head of Finance & Treasury, Declan is responsible for overseeing the company's financial health and managing its treasury operations. This includes managing cash flow, investments, and financial risk, as well as ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and working with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure strict alignment of financial and operational strategy. Declan was previously Director, Structured Solutions at Royal Bank of Scotland plc and formerly held management positions in two domestic banks.
